In this dynamic, constantly changing world of publishing, in a platform about as stable as the San Andreas fault, the future of publishing rests with those determined to create it. Xchyler Publishingmeans, in large part, to write its own rules. How “it’s done” concerns us far less than how we will succeed.
Literature is our passion, writers our heroes. To tender our support, praise, and sponsorship, we offer the first installments of our new blogging initiative. Herein we will share some of our experiences in writing, editing, and publishing. We will provide a look inside that unassailable bastion, the publishing house, hold the best writing up to a scrutinizing light the better to learn from it, and, hopefully, glean some of our readers’ hard-won wisdom as well.
We will hear from staff editors and marketers, guest bloggers, authors of both Xchyler Publishing and other fiction, and perhaps even a grammarian or two. We mean to make ourselves a valuable conduit of information for writers, whether or not they pen the genres encompassed by the XP imprint.
On my personal blog, I wrote about why even editors require the help of good editorswhen we write. Editors are the great unsung heroes of the literary world, and I’m proud of our team here at XP.
Professionals all, McKenna, Caitlin, Lissa, Terri, and Jessica each lend their particular expertise to their projects. The manuscripts they shepherd into the big bright world of books come away deeper, clearer, more engaging, and more compelling from the benefit of their careful guidance. I know our blog readers will appreciate their input as well.
Thank you for visiting Xchyler Publishing, and we hope to tempt you to our blog often. Look for regular installments of Editor’s Notes, Inside Marketing, and Featured Friday. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter for the latest updates. If you have any comments on what you would like to see discussed on this blog, please contact us. If we can’t answer your questions, we’ll find someone else who can.
