One of the reasons I’m excited to join the Xchyler Publishing family is the business model that has been (and continues to be) developed.
With so many self-publishing opportunities today, writers are carrying more and more of the cost and effort that have previously been the domain of traditional publishing houses. However, not every author has the ability or funds to access the editing, proofing, production, marketing, and distribution tools necessary for success. New authors are not called “struggling” simply because they may have writer’s block. Many are also struggling financially, or don’t understand the process of publishing and marketing their work.
Xchyler, and our future Hamilton Springs Press, believes in finding promising authors and providing the know-how and expertise to guide a raw manuscript with potential through the dreaded “re-writes” to production and distribution. In the process, we hope we develop better writers and build a rewarding following for each author. We make it our mission to instill our authors with confidence that their final published work is better and more visible because of the editing and marketing assistance from The X.
None of the Xchyler Publishing “Staff” receives a salary. We are only financially successful if you are financially successful. Like you, our return comes from sales of books. It’s a symbiotic relationship to which we are committed. It’s what we look forward to doing every day.
